CApE Reading Group: Jane Bennett’s vibrant work

On the occasion of Jane Bennett’s visit to Copenhagen on 21 November 2022, the Center for Applied Ecological Thinking is hosting a reading group that focuses on her work.

We will begin by reading extracts from one of her most renowned works, Vibrant Matter (2001); a work that today still shapes discussions in disciplines as different as architecture, Romantic studies, and political science. For the second meeting, we will read parts of her latest work Influx & Efflux in which she develops a sense of subjectivity.

The reading group aims to get familiar with some of Bennett’s most prominent ideas while preparing for her fascinating visit to Copenhagen!

After each session, we’ll invite participants to join us for beer, water and crisps.

Everyone is welcome.
